Garden Builders Wales - The Team

We will be introducing you to some of the members of our team at Garden Builders Wales. We hope you enjoy learning more about us. (And check back again soon, as we will be adding to our profiles regularly).

Nicola - Office Manager Nicola is based at our Pencoed Garden centre, but does the Accounts for both Pencoed Garden Centre and Garden builders Wales as well as managing the office. She likes the happy and friendly team of people at the centre. Outside of work, she is a busy mum of three. Her passion is cooking, cooking and cooking!

Norman - Water Garden 'Professor' Norman is based at our Pencoed Garden centre, but often attends our client's properties, given them the best pond filtration and fish health advise in South Wales... or so he tells us! Having worked at 3 other water garden centres in South Wales for many years, Norman often had to solve problems that Landscape contacts came across as they built projects. Norman is the Water Garden 'Professor'

Nicky - Operations Manager Nicky joined us in March and works across both the garden centre and the Landscaping (admin). She is from South Wales and has worked at other garden centres such as Birds of Cowbridge and Hurrans.

Geraint Simmonds - Owner Geraint founded Garden builders, which opened for business in January 2007. Geraint is from South Wales, which is where he lives now. He has worked in the retail garden centre business since 1994. Having completed many landscape projects for his past employers it was just a matter of time before Garden builders was formed. Working out of Pencoed Garden Centre and being the co owner of the centre it creates a perfect environment for the Landscape clients to visit and discuss their requirements.

Eddie - Project manager Eddie has been with us from the start... having worked in the building and landscape construction industry for more than 20 years. Eddie brings a multitude of skill and talent to the projects that Garden Builders Wales undertake. Over the last 5 or so years Eddie has developed a love for water gardening and pets, which is why he has and will be with us for years to come.

Rhys - Landscape operative Rhys has been with us from the start. Having working for other landscape companies for some three years or more. Rhys also enjoys working at the garden centre, which he finds help add to his ever increasing knowledge. Rhys is looking forward to a university course that again will increase his knowledge but also give his some 'letters' after his name. 'Rhys' AD (Hons.)'

Craig - Landscape operative Craig has been with us for around 18 months, before joining us he worked at 'Cemex' Quarry. The experience introduced Craig to aggregates and the construction trade. Craig is currently studying a brickwork course at Bridgend College to further his knowledge as a landscape operative.
